The Father's House - The Place Of Our Eternal Inheritance (1).

The Father's House - The Place Of Our Eternal Inheritance (1).

When a baby is given birth to in a hospital, after being nursed for days, the baby is finally taken(brought)home by the parents - We are begotten again of God as sons, to be finally taken/brought home to the Father's house -

1st Peter 1:3-5
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

*The salvation ready to be revealed in the last time, in essence, is to be finally brought home into our inheritance and place as sons in the Father's house.
At new birth God sends the Spirit of his son into our hearts/we receive the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry "Abba Father"; however, the final aspect of adoption of sonship is the placement of sons in the Father's house, the place of their eternal inheritance for sonship goes with heirship. Galatians 4:5-7; Romans 8:15-17.

In the scripture earlier cited, we are made to understand that our eternal inheritance which is incorruptible and unfading, is reserved in heaven for us.
Also in different portions of scripture we are made to see that the Father's house, where the Father is/dwells, is heaven.

The placement of sons in the Father's house is thus the literal placement of sons in heaven/heavenly places.
We are already seated in heavenly places in Christ representatively, but not literally/bodily, so scripture speaks of the last trump marking the end of the time of the church on earth, when our mortal, earthly bodies will be changed/transformed into immortal, heavenly/glorified bodies.
The transformation will be so absolute, complete & final such that both the dead & living saints will be transformed alike to live forever in the likeness and image of the heavenly man(Christ)
- 1st Corinthians 15:47-54.

We are begotten again unto this lively/living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and our new birth is unto the eternal inheritance reserved for us in heaven; in view of that we are kept, guarded and garrisoned by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Hebrews 1:14 shows us how salvation goes with the inheritance..."heirs of salvation" in the common english version while the actual rendering is "those who are about to inherit salvation".
