Self Denial: Basic Truth Of Christian Discipleship.

Self Denial: Basic Truth Of Christian Discipleship. The most subtle enemy of the believer is Self and many professing believers today are ill-disposed to the basic truth of christian discipleship which deals with that enemy and that is "deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Christ".  It is a very difficult thing to deny Self especially in a day in christendom when much of the message focuses on Self...self discovery, self development, self improvement, self confidence, self worth, self esteem etc. as good as all these may sound we may ask: where is the place of the cross of Christ in all these things?  Where are the disciples who are denying themselves, taking up their cross to follow the Lord daily & not taking up a self made & self-oriented cross(burden/responsibility) to follow their spiritual ambition, pursuit of purpose or to follow men who will empower them in the pursuit of their ambition? The Government Of The Spirit vs Self Government.  Self discovery,

The Hope Of Heaven. The Calling, Inheritance & Destiny Of The Church(Part 2).

(Part 2).  We're still considering the solemn times in present day christendom whereby men with an open bible, are boldly and unashamedly teaching rebellion against the heavenly hope, calling, inheritance and citizenship/homeland of the believer in Christ.   The delusion of dominionists(those who hold unto the teaching that the church is called to dominate and take over this world and it's systems), stems from a lack of understanding of the heavenly calling of the church: they are confused about the eternal, heavenly inheritance/birthright and citizenship of the church.   As earlier stated in the first part of this meditation, some teach that we are not saved to go to heaven yet scripture clearly says we're born again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us - 1st Peter 1:3-4. Now let's pause for a while and focus on the implications of the w

The Hope Of Heaven. The Calling, Inheritance & Destiny Of The Church(Part 1)

The Hope Of Heaven. The Calling, Inheritance & Destiny Of The Church (Part 1).  Our calling is a heavenly calling -Hebrews 3:1. We are born again unto an eternal inheritance reserved for us in heaven(heavenly inheritance) - 1st Peter 1:3-4. There is a hope laid up for us in heaven - Colossians 1:3-5 We have a better and an enduring substance in heaven & this is the confidence of saints which has a great recompense of eternal reward; a confidence which those who cast away, draw back unto perdition - Hebrews 10:32-39. We are destined to take up & bear for all eternity, the image of the heavenly man(the last Adam); for we are bound to transit from bearing the image of the earthly(earthly body) to bearing the image of the heavenly(heavenly body). - 1st Corinthians 15:45-53. The house/bodily tabernacle we have of God is not made with hands but eternal in heaven. - 2nd Corinthians 5:1-4. There is a heavenly country/homeland and city which God has prepared for us; fo

God's Order Vs Man's Order In The Church.

God's Order Vs Man's Order In The Church.  God's Order In The Church. A.) God has appointed Christ as head over all things to the church. Christ is thus the head of the church in all things & over all things, and He is particularly spoken of as "the head of every man" - Ephesians 1:22; 1st Corinthians 11:3. B.) The man is the head of the woman. In the church/assembly life, she is presented in all things, even in prayer & expression of spiritual gifts, as under the man & this is consistent with God's order in the family, such that a bishop who cannot maintain God's order/rule in the family cannot provide leadership in the church of God. - 1st Corinthians 11:3; 1st Timothy 3:2-5. C.) The ministers(apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) belong to the body, the church, for they are gifts given to the body by Christ(the head of the body). - Ephesians 4:10-13; 1st Corinthians 3:21-22. D.) The body/church/assembly belongs to Christ. -
