  Where Heathenism Thrives In 'Christian' Prayer Today. The religious mindset that loud prayers of repetitions are powerful & heard by God, is that which Jesus revealed as a heathen/pagan practise & a vain/empty religious exercise. Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not  vain   repetition s, as the heathen  do : for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Mark the words: "they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking". This is not just a thought or mindset but a practise thus Jesus warns his disciples against using vain repetition while praying, like the heathen do.
