The Frailty & Futility Of The Flesh.

All Flesh Is As Grass. "All flesh  is  as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." - 1st Peter 1:24-25. Do we live & walk in the consciousness of this undeniable scriptural truth about the frailty & futility of the flesh, which states that all flesh is as grass? Words of truth lifted by the apostle Peter from the prophetic book of Isaiah: 👇 Isaiah 40:3-8 " The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of Jehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God! Every valley shall be raised up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see  it  together: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken. A voice saith, Cry. And he sait

Is There Anything Like The Church Age? (Part 2)

Contrary to what scripture teaches about this present age being an evil age with satan as the god of it, the natural human mind reasons that since the church is in the world this must be the church age. The church being presently in the world does not automatically make this present age a church age; neither does t he fact that it's a conventional teaching make it so. The fact that the messiah came into the world & dwelt amongst men did not automatically constitute/make the time he was here a messianic age. On the contrary scripture says "He was in the world and the world was made by Him but the world knew him not. He came to his own, and his own received him not"(John 1:10-11). When asked by Pilate: "Are you the king of the Jews?"; He answered and said: " My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." John 18:33-3

Is There Anything Like The Church Age?

From the beginning of the new year, i received a strong burden to teach on this subject & disseminate the scriptural truth concerning it.  Three days ago i got a message from a brother who sent in some questions and made mention of the 'church age' in one of his questions. That really got my attention, knowing that i've borne a burden of ministry along those lines for some days. As i pondered in silence, it was impressed on me that it's time to share on the subject and not keep back.  There are different strains of doctrinal error & confusion today stemming from the assumption that we are in an age known as the church age.  Scripture nowhere speaks of any such thing as a 'church age' or 'christian age' as the scholarly yet overly assumptious minds of men, who take up theology as mere intellectual exercise, have assumed & assigned to this present age.  In Galatians 1:3-4 scripture refers to this present age as an evil age.  "Grace to you,

A Midnight Crisis & Cry Coming On The Church.

A Midnight Crisis & Cry Coming On The Church.  A deep spiritual crisis is coming to the church, that will make men arise to begin to ask questions like never before and seek spiritual understanding, to understand the word of God, to understand & give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.  As in the crisis of the days of Eli & Samuel, when the word of the Lord was scarce/rare in Israel & thus precious/costly, and there was no open vision as the eyes of the highpriest had waxed dim such that he could no longer see, yet the lamp of God in the temple had not gone out, so is the crisis situation in the church today and it's growing in intensity (see 1st Samuel 3:1-3).  In the midst of the confusion/noise of conflicting voices which many are accustomed to, such that it's difficult for Samuels to tell/discern the voice of God, there will arise a distinct midnight voice/cry calling for the preparation of the bride in view of the imminent return/coming of th

The Riches Of The Reproach Of Christ (Are His Values, Our Values?)

There are obnoxious individuals you have to deal with; abhorrent places you find yourself in, extremely difficult situations/circumstances you're going through & earnestly seeking escape from, yet God put you therein to form Christ in you. Egypt was a crucible God put Israel in to form her as a nation; Egypt was a place of the affliction and reproach of Israel as they were enslaved and maltreated, in bondage and affliction, in pain and agony of soul. It was God's will and plan that they should pass through that time/phase of intense affliction and suffering in Egypt to be formed as a nation. Moses by faith refused greatness, refused to be identified with royalty, and rather chose to suffer affliction with his brethren(Israel) & scripture says he did this, having esteemed, deemed/reckoned the reproach of Christ as greater riches/wealth than the treasures/treasury of Egypt(Hebrews 11:24-26). Who would have thought that the affliction of Israel(God's people) in Egyp

Reflections On A New Calendar Year.

Image
According to the Gregorian calendar it's a new year. Nothing is actually new under the sun and nothing changes with the coming of a new calendar year; time is still ticking and racing to the end of the age, it's still the same world of uncertainties, where men's lives are like vapour, where everything is temporal & transient, where events come and go. It's still the same earth with the same sun rising in the east and setting in the west, the same moon and stars coming out to grace the dark skies at night.  The dawn of 2021 unfolded with a surreal moment in the history of human democracy...the insurrection/invasion of the US capitol on the 6th of January....one of the darkest & most notorious days in US political history, fraught with fear & much uncertainty as to the future.  As fresh as it is in our minds, it remains like a nightmare of just yesterday, yet a year is almost gone past it.  How time flies indeed, racing to an end & how the christian living
