The Hope Of Heaven. The Calling, Inheritance & Destiny Of The Church

(Part 1).

Our calling is a heavenly calling -Hebrews 3:1.

We are born again unto an eternal inheritance reserved for us in heaven(heavenly inheritance) - 1st Peter 1:3-4.

There is a hope laid up for us in heaven - Colossians 1:3-5

We have a better and an enduring substance in heaven & this is the confidence of saints which has a great recompense of eternal reward; a confidence which those who cast away, draw back unto perdition - Hebrews 10:32-39.

We are destined to take up & bear for all eternity, the image of the heavenly man(the last Adam); for we are bound to transit from bearing the image of the earthly(earthly body) to bearing the image of the heavenly(heavenly body). - 1st Corinthians 15:45-53.

The house/bodily tabernacle we have of God is not made with hands but eternal in heaven. - 2nd Corinthians 5:1-4.

There is a heavenly country/homeland and city which God has prepared for us; for our citizenship is in heaven. - Hebrews 11:13-16; Philippians 3:20.

How then do some say/teach that we are not saved to go to heaven?
If you are not saved to go to heaven, are you then saved to go to hell or to remain on earth?

You are not saved to go to heaven yet the Lord Jesus admonishes you to lay up treasures in a heaven you are not saved to go to? And God has reserved for you an incorruptible & unfading inheritance in a heaven you are not saved to go to?
Is that not utter confusion and blindness on the part of all such who teach this nonsense?

If we're not saved to go to heaven, the place of our eternal inheritance where thieves cannot break through to steal, "let us eat and drink for tommorow we die.
Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt/wrongly influence good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." 1st Corinthians 15:32-34.

It is a shame that many have professedly being in the faith for many years and yet do not know the destiny of the church.
Where is the church going to?
What is her eternal destiny?
Where is the place of her eternal inheritance, destiny & abode?

These are questions which many cannot scripturally answer.

Little wonder why very strange & misleading doctrines concerning the church has become rife, being embraced & accepted by many unsuspecting/undiscerning minds.

One of such heresies is the assertion that "nowhere in scripture is heaven, a hope promised the believer".

If heaven is not a hope promised the believer anywhere in scripture why does Colossians 1:4-5 speak of the hope laid up for the believer in heaven?

"Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel." Colossians 1:4-5.

What gospel did the peddlers of this heresy hear/receive?
Of course not the word of the truth of the gospel but a false gospel void/bereft & destitute of the hope of heaven.

You mean "nowhere in scripture is heaven a hope promised the believer" yet scripture speaks of an inheritance that's unfading & incorruptible, reserved for the believer in heaven? (1 Peter 1:4).

If heaven is not a hope/promise to the believer, how did saints in Hebrews 10:34 come to know & live in the hope that they have a better and enduring substance in heaven?

Is the promise/hope of the morning star which the Lord gave the overcomer in the church in Thyatira not a promise of heaven? (Revelation 2:28-29).

Is his promise to the believers in the church in Laodicea, that if they overcome he will grant them to sit with him on his throne just as he overcame & sat down on his Father's throne, not a promise of heaven? (Revelation 3:21-22)

Where did Christ sit/where is he sitting now? Where is the Father's throne? Is heaven not the throne of God? (Acts 7:49).

Now all these promises in the book of Revelation are part of what the Spirit is saying to the churches, so how can a man be supposedly in fellowship with the Spirit, manifesting the gifts of the Spirit like speaking in tongues, even for hours and yet not know what the Spirit is saying to the churches?
