Powers Of The Age To Come.

The powers of the age to come is all about the millennial kingdom/the regeneration, when the son of man comes in his glory and power, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory judging the twelve tribes of Israel; however his reign will not be only over Israel but a universal reign over the nations, whom he will rule with a rod of iron; and the rebellious amongst them he will dash to pieces/shivers as the vessels of a potter.
It is an age which is wholly put in subjection unto the Son of man and not the angelic hierarchies of principalities, powers, thrones and dominions.

The saints and the disciples of Christ in this age(his church) will reign with him in the millenial; however, their reign will not be truncated at the end of the thousand years for the kingdom they receive is an everlasting kingdom which cannot be moved.
Matthew 19:28; 1 Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 1:13-14; 2:5-9; Psalm 110:1-7; Psalm 2:9; Revelation 2:26-27; 12:5; 19:15; Hebrews 12:28; Daniel 7:27.

When the angel Gabriel was sent of God to prophetically announce the birth of Christ, he said to Mary "behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" Luke 1:31-33.

The millennial reign/regeneration in God's redemption plan is for the sole purpose of putting down all enemies, and not that the kingdom of the son of man is restricted to a thousand years.
"Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet." 1 Corinthians 15:24-25.

When he delivers up the kingdom to the Father it neither ends nor excludes his reign, for the son of man is also God, one with the Father and the child of prophecy in Isaiah upon whose shoulders the government shall be, is also the everlasting Father(Father of eternity) Isaiah 9:6-7.

Delivering up the kingdom to God the Father, is thus a switch/transition from the millennial phase of the kingdom to the everlasting dimenison where the eternal Godhead and power becomes manifest to all creation as clear as crystal, not just as seen through the veil of things that are made but in the unending/unrestricted outflow of the maker/creator himself to all creation, when his servants shall see his face and his name shall be in their forehead; as the river of life flows out from the throne of God and of the lamb, which river itself is the Spirit of God(John 7:38-39); thus the Father, the Son and the HolyGhost in full expression, that God may be all in all(all that flows out to all, and all that flows in and through all).

What an unspeakable honour & glory bestowed upon the church(the body of Christ), for we are called to be the fullness(the corporate vessel for the expression of the fullness) of 'Him who fills all in all'.  Romans 1:20; Revelation 22:1-4; 1 Corinthians 15:28; Ephesians 1:22-23.
