April Fool's Day Hoax & The Bane of Foolish Jesting.

April Fool's Day Hoax & The Bane of Foolish Jesting.
The April Fool's day Hoax reminds me of the story of the boy who cried wolf by Aesop; how a shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, succeeded in making a fool of the villagers three times by crying out, "Wolf" and causing them to rush out to his rescue, when there was actually no wolf 🐺. Each time they came to his rescue, he laughed so hard at them, making them look so stupid. The wolf, however, truly came at last and those villagers had the last laugh.
Those who play pranks or fabricate a hoax to hoodwink people, so often succeed in making a fool of their victims; but in history, we have cases of pranks which went sour, and instead of the eruption of laughter, loud cries and tears echoed and  streamed down in pain and anguish of soul.
On 1st April 1976, BBC announced that on that day the gravity of earth would be reduced by a certain level and whoever jumped in the air would lightly float in the air! People who hadn’t noticed the date jumped to realize to their dismay and chagrin, that mother earth cannot lose its attraction.
Google launched Gmail on the eve of April fool’s day, and everyone thought that it was a prank due to its unbelievably good features! But the company really launched the mail king of today!
The eleven apostles of the Lord Jesus took the story of the Lord's resurrection as first narrated by Mary Magdalene and the women who went to the tomb with her, as a hoax and box of idle tales; yet that is the very truth and reality on which the christian faith which they later propagated and died for, rests on.  Luke 24:1-11.
Tragic Fool's Day In History
In 1945, the weather broadcast department announced a tsunami in Pacific Island on April first and since many people thought it was a prank, they didn’t take the announcement announcement serious. Eventually, the big tragedy hit and the rest of the story is gruesome and crimson history.
What The Bible Says About Idle Words And Foolish Jesting.
In Matthew 12:36-37 Jesus spoke thus: "I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."
Ephesians 5:3-7 lends a loud voice to this when it clearly states that foolish talking and jesting are not convenient/proper, and are among the vices which should not be once named/mentioned amongst christians.
On account of such vices, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience, and those who engage in them have no place/inheritance in the kingdom of God.
