A Popularity That Opens The Broad Way To Destruction.

A Popularity That Opens The Broad Way.

It begins with an ambition to be heard, a quest to become a voice to be reckoned with, a household name in the hall of fame.

You begin to seek a large audience, you share every now and then to appeal to the taste of your readers and receive some praise/ accolade.

Then the fame begins to spread, and you have thousands following & liking your posts, then you begin to say what they want to hear, to make them stay; you begin to say God told me to tell you, even when God didn't tell you anything.

A ministry of the flesh is soon born, to minister to the needs and lusts of men; they begin to call you apostle, prophetess etc. yet your ministry is not about the knowledge of the Son of God, the goal is not in anyway to bring men to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; it is all about ministering to the needs and cares of this life, and the goal is to have testimonies abound to your fame.

Your joy is seeing men and women give testimonies of breakthroughs they encountered after you prophesied, prayed for them or instructed them to sow a seed.

The true Apostolic joy and passion however, is to see men and women walking in the truth, sound in doctrine and established in the faith of Christ. 2 John 1:4; 3 John 1:3-4.

The true Apostolic hope, glory, joy and crown of rejoicing is to see that at the end of the day, men and women ministered to, will not be found wanting, but stand unblameable without blemish in the presence of the Lord Jesus at his coming. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20.

The apostle Paul knew that it is labour in vain, when the goal and aim is not to see those he ministered to, standing unblameable in the day of Christ. Indeed the labour for the meat that perishes is labour in vain.
Paul's incentive in ministry was thus not earthly fame, name or gain; not popularity, prosperity or anything this world can offer, but the prize of the heavenly calling in Christ Jesus; to be found in Him at the end of the day, along with all those whom the Lord used him to minister to. Philippians 2:14-16; 3:7-14.

I weep as i write, seeing the broadway many of us are threading on today as the deviation/detour from the path of truth widens amidst the thunderous applause and shouts of Amen! Halleluyah! Say it again! Preach!

I weep as a woman i knew on this path of ministry passed away. The news of her demise yesterday came as a shock. I hope she made it. Went through my last chat with her and shook my head. All we like sheep have gone astray! May we find our way back to the great shepherd of the sheep.
May the God of peace who brought again from the dead, our Lord Jesus Christ, restore us back to the path of truth, where our obsession in life is nothing but to please the Lord.  Hebrews 13:20-21
