Divine Intervention And Intercession.

Divine Intervention And Intercession.

While here on earth, Jesus intervened on Peter's behalf through intercession, when satan desired and sought to have him, to sift him as wheat. Peter did not even know about satan's scheme and plot against him; neither did he know that the Lord Jesus had intervened by interceeding for him. It took the Lord telling him to bring him into the awareness, knowledge and faith of his intervention and intercession for him. Luke 22:31-32.

The HolySpirit who is now here on earth with us as our helper/comforter, just as Jesus was with the disciples; also intervenes on our behalf. He helps our weaknesses and infirmities by making intercession for us, and his intercession for us is according to the will of God.

Romans 8:26-27 "Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And he that searches the heart knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Like Peter, we often don't know the schemes and plots of satan against us, and thus we know not what to even pray for, yet in such times beyond our knowledge and shortcomings to pray appropriately, the HolySpirit intercedes for us and his intercession is according to the will of God.

He that searches the heart knows the mind of the Spirit, and he is the Lord Jesus who is by the right-hand of God and also makes intercession for us. You would have thought the Lord Jesus having ascended into heaven and sent the HolyGhost as another comforter, stopped interceeding for us, but no, scripture says he is still interceeding for us. Romans 8:27, 34; Revelation 2:23.

What a perfect harmony and fellowship of divine intercession and intervention? whereby all grounds are covered, both on earth and in heaven; the HolySpirit who indwells us interceeeding for us, Christ at the righthand of God in the heavens interceeding for us, a perfect harmony of intercession in line with the will of God the Father, who works all things after the counsel of his own will.

Little wonder why the inspired writer went ahead to write thus: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God..." and "What shall we then say to these things? If God(the HolySpirit, the Son and the Father) be for us, who can be against us?
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" Romans 8:35, 31.

It's in the revelation and awareness of this that the apostle cried out saying:
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.
