The Octave Of Redemption And Significance Of The numbers 6 And 8.

8th June.

On the eve of the octave of the sixth month, i sat, lost in thoughts as streams of inspiration and revelation flowed.
A cursory look in the book of Luke, and i saw the words: "In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary."

The sixth month is indeed a time of divine visitation. The number six, is the number of man(Revelation 13:18); man was created on the sixth day(Genesis 1:26-31); Six days was given to man to work/labour, as in the wilderness journey of Israel, six days to gather the manna from heaven(Exodus 20:9; 16:26); Six cities were given for a refuge to the manslayer, under the law(Numbers 35:13-15) etc.
The greatest divine visitation was when God himself became a man; no greater divine visitation hath any man than this, that God himself should come to us as one of us, even as a man born of a woman.

Hebrews 2:6, 16
But one in a certain place testified, saying,What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

He took upon himself the sixth, the number of the man in order to raise us out of the ruins of the fall, to bring us to the seventh(the number of perfection), the perfect man, who is saddled with the responsibility of bringing in the eighth day, the new final/eternal state of God's rest; the octave of redemption...a new heavens and earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

* I was born on this day, the 8th(Octave) of the sixth month.
