Time To Redeem The Time. Part 1.

Time To Redeem The Time.

Ephesians 5:15-17  "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."

Romans 13:11 "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed."

It is time to redeem the time, but we can only do so knowing what the will of the Lord is. Only those, who understand and know what the will of the Lord is, have the precision of divine counsel as to redeem the time by not doing guess works, going round in circles or getting involved in things, that are not in line with the divine will.

When we lack the precision of heaven, we will merely embrace opportunities without knowing if they are in line with the will of the Lord or not; we will take decisions and embark on programs/projects, outside fellowship with the will of the Lord. However, in a time of conclusion, with very little time left to count and few days to number, it is dangerous to merely run without precision, to run as uncertain and unsure of the divine will, and to fight as one beating the air, without the divine target/aim in view.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 shows us just how dangerous running/fighting without precision could be. On the outlook it might seem not to matter/weigh much, as many would readily say "it doesn't really matter".
However, it is potentially lethal and very destructive, as that which can deprive/hinder the believer(member of the church of the firstborn), from obtaining the prize of the heavenly calling in Christ; thus making him or her a castaway/reject like Esau who, though he was a firstborn, was deprived of the right of the firstborn and rejected when it was time to receive the inheritance.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27  "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Hebrews 12:16-17   "Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears".

Note: The word translated as 'Repentance' in the text above, is the word 'Metanoia' in the original greek, and it implies a reversal of another's decision. This is consistent with the history of Esau's rejection as presented in the book of Genesis. Esau could not get/make his father Isaac to reverse his decision, why because it was already too late; the pronouncement had been made, and the blessing/right of the firstborn irreversibly conferred on Jacob. It was too late because the time to receive/to be released into the blessing of the inheritance, had come and Esau was just not there, he was not rightly positioned; he was out on the field and nowhere to be found in his father's tents/dwelling places. He was a field man, and not a home man, he was so busy in outdoor/field activities and hunting, with very little time to stay/abide at home, in fellowship and intimacy with his father, to learn at his feet and to be taught of him.
Genesis 25:27 "And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents."
