The Elusive And Delusive Love In The Air. 

It's that time of the year, we see all sorts of ridiculous themes and programs, organised by the lords and slaves of the 'churches'/houses of men.
Programs designed to adapt to the weather, in the warmth of religious/secular festivity; and themes adopted to confirm to the trend of an elusive and delusive love in the air, which the prince of the power of the air savours.
It is however, not a surprise to see the same power, which works in the children of disobedience, religiously and actively at work in the rebellious houses of men(so called 'churches' owned and run by men). It is consistent with the denominational/sectarian spirit, to walk according to the course of this world, seeing that those who are enslaved to it, walk according to/after men saying "I am of Paul, I am of Cephas" etc. 

The history of the church from it's inception at Pentecost, is no doubt, fraught with the downward trend in confirming to the world's trend. 
Such has seen the church go from the sublime and pristine, to the ridiculous and absurd.
Worldly wisdom creeping in, and in the guise to balance things, imports from the world, what it thinks/assumes to be lacking in the church. 
I would have you know that such wisdom is not only earthly and sensual(carnal), it is also devilish for the devil savours the things of men, even if they be the things of a great apostle of the Lord, such as Peter was.

Ephesians 2:1-2  "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience"

Matthew 16:23  "But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."


The Deception Of Evangelising By Adopting Worldly/Fleshly Appealing Methods.

Some often seek to secure the religious excuse of evangelising, in defence of what is carnal and worldly in the church, as patterned after the world system, and not after Christ. So often the church adopts worldly measures, in trying to evangelise the world. 

In seasons of religious and secular festivity, church programs and services are designed and tailored to suit/meet the trend, in order to offer men the feel and flow of the world in the church. 
The impression is such that if you can comfortably revel and have fun in the church, why go out to the world? 
Sit back and fill our pews and offering bags, to help us pay our bills. 

The truth is, we don't need a season of religious or secular festivity to evangelise Christ.
 2 Timothy 4:2 says: "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."

Also Hebrews 13:8-9 says: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

While writing and reflecting on this verse 9 of Hebrews 13, i remembered the recent strange trend of programs called "Suya Night"; whereby they gather saints unto suya, to eat a so called prophetic suya. These are strange feasts from divers and strange doctrines, which has not profited those occupied therein.

The Man Of God Or The Man Of Himself.  A very thin line exists between a man of God and a man of himself. Many today are called men of God but they are men of themselves or men of the people. They speak of themselves, represent their own interests and concerns, even in the things of God. It's high time we defined who a man of God is.
