My Response To Those Who Mock The Hope Of Heaven And The Promise Of Christ's Coming(John 14:1-6; 2 Peter 3:3-4).

If we do not eagerly await when it shall be said: O' death, where is thy sting? O' grave, where is thy victory....................?
(1 Corinthians 15:54-58)

If we do not look forward to the Lord's coming/descent from heaven, with a shout and the voice of the archangel and the trump of God.......? (1 Thessalonians 4:15-16)

If we do not look forward to the dead in Christ(Peter, John, Paul, etc.) being raised, and we being caught up together with them to meet the Lord..................? (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

If we no longer find comfort nor comfort one another, with the words concerning his descent from heaven, to take us up to be with him....? (1 Thessalonians 4:18)

If in the midst of the troubles and miseries upon the earth, we fail to find solace in knowing that in his Father's house in heaven, there are many mansions, and that one day he will come to take us to be with him..? (John 14:1-6)

If we do not desire or esteem departing to be present with the Lord, far better than whatever we call ministry work here on earth....? (Philippians 1:23-24)

If after we believed in Christ, we're no longer awaiting his coming in earnest expectation...? (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

If we no longer have the purifying hope of his appearing and the glorious prospect of becoming like him in view...? (1 John 3:2-3)

If we do not love his appearing and we're not looking for him, who shall appear again the second time without sin unto salvation.....? (2 Timothy 4:8; Hebrews 9:28)

If we have cast away our confidence and the rejoicing of the hope of his coming, which we are to hold firm unto the end..........?(Hebrews 3:6,14; 10:35)

If the confidence and hope of having in heaven, a better and an enduring substance, is no longer what propels us here on earth..........? (Hebrews 10:34)

If our hearts do not gravitate toward the hope laid up for us in heaven, such that our faith in Christ and love for the saints springs from it........? (Colossians 1:4-5)

If we have not fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us............? (Hebrews 6:18)

If we have cast away the anchor of our soul, which is the hope of the foreunner and eternal Highpriest, who has entered into heaven ahead of us, to prepare a place for us..........? (Hebrews 6:19-20)

If we are not born again unto a lively hope which gravitates toward the inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled, reserved for us in heaven....? (1 Peter 1:3-4)

If we have lost patience and drawn back from the hope of him, who yet a little while shall come and will not tarry.......? (Hebrews 10:36-39)

If we fail to labour in order to enter into the promised rest, which remains for the people of God, and fall after the same example of unbelief in Israel's wilderness journey.....? (Hebrews 4:9-11)

If we do not fear, lest we come short of the promise left us/bequeathed to us, of entering into the rest....? (Hebrews 4:1-2)

If we fail to pray and trust in the Lord to deliver us from every evil work, and to preserve us unto his heavenly kingdom.....?
(2 Timothy 4:18)

If we fail to give all diligence, in making our calling and election sure, so that an entrance will be ministered unto us abundantly, into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.....? (2 Peter 1:10-11)

If we fail to pray and to believe God to keep/preserve our whole spirit, soul and body blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ..................................? (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

If we fail to do his commandments that we might have right to the tree of life, and to enter into the heavenly city through the gates....? (Revelation 22:14)

If we fail to do these things, then we'll be deliberately setting ourselves on the course and path of apostasy.

If in this life only, we have hope in Christ, then we are of all men most to be pitied, having fallen away from our first love and affection of eager expectation of his appearing.(1 Corinthians 15:19)

If we cast away the hope of the morning star, we become wandering stars(shooting stars destined to fall), to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever, having wandered off the course of the heavenly calling and destiny in Christ. (Jude vs 13)

If we cast away the anchor of our soul, which is the hope of his coming and the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time, we make a shipwreck of faith and drown in perdition.
Every drawing back from the hope of the coming one leads to perdition - Hebrews 10:37-39

"For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."

Finally, if his promise to go and prepare a place for us in his Father's house in heaven and to return to take us to where he is, no longer means anything to us, then our profession of Jesus being the way, the truth and the life, is empty.

John14:1-6 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

2 Peter 3:3-4 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
