Where Soul Winning Is Grossly Misunderstood.

Where Soul Winning Is Grossly Misunderstood.

Preachers often say that God's number one job is soul winning/salvation of souls however, when salvation is misunderstood or not fully understood we end up seeing soul winning as merely that which happens when we witness to men and they believe in Christ. We fail to see that its an entire journey and fight of faith from when they first believe to when they receive the end of their faith even the salvation of their souls which goes with the redemption of the body at the appearing of Christ.

Susceptibility To Deception.

This misconception or shallow understanding of salvation is what makes men vulnerable and susceptible to the deception of the 'once saved forever saved' doctrine. It is the failure to see the full scope and range of the 'So Great Salvation' as presented in scriptures that gave birth to the blindness & pettiness of a casual reference to salvation as 'the simple gospel/message of salvation when there's absolutely nothing simple about it. It is thus not a surprise to see that these simple ones with their simple apprehension of salvation as a simple gospel are those susceptible to being simply led astray into the depths of satan's deception and manipulation of scriptural truths. They in their simplicity and unwillingness to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in mysteries and the deep things of God are unwittingly led astray into the depths of satan(1 Corinthians 2:7, 10; Revelation 2:24).

The Lost Sheep In The Church.

To further buttress or throw more light on this issue of soul winning, can you allow me to shock you a bit or agitate your mind to inquiry by saying that God's primary concern in soul winning are those already in the church and not those in the world.
The most important thing to God is the lost sheep, those lost and trapped within the four walls of what is called 'church' today. God's primary concern is for those who are being misled into hell within this confused contraption of man-made 'churches' and organized christianity...the lost sheep of the house of God, just as his primary concern when he came to earth was the lost sheep of the house of Israel and not the gentiles. With the confusion and mixture in the church today the Lord is not concerned about adding people to the mess and confusion on ground as much as he is after clearing the mess, judging his house and restoring his order and true testimony that he might have a pure harvest for the rapture, free of every infiltration, without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. It is to this pure harvest from the church that the Lord will add souls from outside, when the true testimony is restored and the voice of the church-bride becomes one with the voice of the Spirit saying " Come and let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely". Till this happens there can be no true/pure last hour harvest. You cannot be going out to win souls when your own soul has not been won, when you don't even have the true message/gospel of Jesus.
The entire epistles of the new testament were not written to unbelievers outside the walls of the church but to those who were already in the church. Soul winning/ the salvation of the soul is not merely an event of 'altar call' in a crusade or church meeting, it's much more than that, scripture calls it so great salvation but those ignorant of scriptures call it the simple salvation message yet there's absolutely nothing simple about it.

So Great Salvation In It's Vast/Eternal Scope And Range.

Salvation is so cosmic and vast in range/scope that it literally touches and affects everything in creation both things in heaven and on earth. It stands central to all things as that which will determine the future and destiny of all things.
Concerning men, it's a lifetime conflict/battle over the souls of men and the conflict is more intense over those who have come to believe/accept Christ as their saviour. Christ becomes the captain of their salvation and thus the fiercest version of the conflict from the forces of darkness begins over such souls to ensure that they do not continue in the faith of Christ unto the end. 1 Peter 1:9-13 says the end of our faith which we are receiving and walking towards is the salvation of our souls which grace will be brought to us at the appearing of Christ whom having not seen we love.

The Great Conflict Against So Great Salvation.

In view of the great conflict gathered around this so great salvation, Paul admonished Timothy to take heed unto himself and to the doctrine for in doing so he will both save himself and them that hear him. He cautioned Timothy seriously because in the earlier/first verse of the same chapter he had sounded a prophetic warning from the Spirit saying "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" thus to Timothy he says in the last verse "take heed to thyself and to the doctrine..." 1 Timothy 4:1,16.
In a latter epistle to Timothy he urged him to fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life to which he is called and has professed a good confession before many witnesses. Soul winning is not merely an act of bringing men to make the good confession of faith in Christ before many witnesses it is rather an entire lifetime of the fight of faith which must be fought to the end if we must be saved in a final, eternal sense of eternal victory over sin and death. Concerning this conflict Jude exhorts us to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints, it's a contention to maintain the true testimony by guarding against every imitation of it. The peddling and spreading of the imitation is by the agency of men who have infiltrated the church and their target is to turn/redefine the grace/liberty we have in Christ in order to accommodate their excesses and damnable heresies.

Plague Of Unbelief In The Journey Of Faith.

It's important to note that when Jude talked about the common salvation in Jude 1:3-5, he didn't imply that it is simple and of little value. The word translated as 'common' in the text is the original Greek word 'Koinos' which means belonging to generality, literally shared by all. It is in the light of this that he puts us in the way of remembrance of that which was the common/general experience of the children of Israel how the Lord saved them all out of Egypt but afterward destroyed them that believed not. I want you to mark the words 'saved' yet unbelievers. Unbelief was such a constant plague in their wilderness journey as it often is in our journey and fight of faith today.
1 Corinthians 10:1-12 also emphasised the commonality and generality of the experience of the children of Israel having being saved out of Egypt and scripture says this is a figure/type of our own journey and experience now, thus it's a history we must not be ignorant of.... 1 Corinthians 10:1-12.
1  Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.I'll leave you with these scriptures to contemplate.
