If Everyday Was Christmas 🎄.

If Everyday Was Christmas 🎄.

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if everyday was Christmas?
A holiday widely accepted, appreciated and celebrated by many, tolerated by few, though rated by history as paganish in origin.

Evolving from it's pagan roots, it became adopted as a religious holiday to commemorate the birth of Christ; now, beyond just a religious holiday, it has been adopted by different cultures and nations, as an integral part of a holiday season that leads to the end of the year. Many non christians today celebrate Christmas, and some cultures have adopted different dates from the generally accepted 25th December, to mark and celebrate their own Christmas festival.

Christmas thus, is a festival that resonates with the rotating globe and world of men; cutting across several races, cultures and nations of the world today. Billions around the world see it as a day to show/express love, reaching out to friends and loved ones and even to the poor/needy on the streets.

So often it is the love we never had or expressed throughout the year, that we suddenly begin to religiously exhibit on christmas day; sending messages of warmth and love to friends and loved ones we rarely get in touch with, and expecting to receive same in return.
On the receiving end, when the messages of 'Merry Christmas' come buzzing, you might be shocked to get a message from someone you thought had long lost or deleted your contact. The feeling of love and camaraderie on Christmas comes like an elixir, yet it's often more deceptive and elusive than real. It soon fades and wears off by the end of the day, like a bald, ageing lady, who just removed the wig she had worn out the whole day, to conceal her baldness and disguise her looks.

If only 'Christmas' was real, if the cheer, warmth and love we put up on Christmas, are not just make up or costume but real enough to be sustained through the entire year, if every 'compliment of the season' greeting was truly a compliment to cheer someone up, and not mere formality or tradition, if we prepare for everyday like we do for christmas, if everyday was Christmas and not just a season, or a day, or an hour, or a moment of bliss, glee, mirth and merriment; the world will surely not be the way it is today, fraught with every imaginable vice, crime, evil, wickedness and injustice.
Think about this.
