Poverty Is Not A Curse.

 Poverty Is Not A Curse.

Preachers Who Deride & Denigrate The Poor Are Of The Synagogue Of Satan.

Peddlers of modern prosperity narratives in the church often say boldly that poverty is a curse.
This they teach with all gusto even to the denigration of poor saints as though the believer in Christ who is poor is cursed.

The truth however, is that what they teach with an open bible is completely alien & contrary to what the bible teaches, such that anyone who reads his bible will be left wondering where these men are coming from and what is in the bible they're carrying around from place to place to minister.

Poverty is not a curse; it's not a curse to suffer lack or need.

The apostles often lacked materially.

In 2nd Corinthians 6:10 Paul speaking of the apostles as ministers of God said: “We are poor, yet making many rich.”

Also in Philippians 4:12 he said "I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

In connection to that, he went on to say "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.(Vs. 13).

That's what he meant by "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", so if you're a christian who sees material poverty as a curse and cannot suffer lack or need, then you have no business saying you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, and even when you make such a confession, it's a false testimony because your life is a contradiction of it.

Poverty Mentality Is The Actual Curse.

What is a curse is poverty mentality that makes one judge wealth by material possession. When a man thinks that his life or value/worth in life consists in material acquisitions/possessions, he is mentally poor/impoverished.

The church in Laodicea judged themselves materially rich, successful, made, accomplished and lacking nothing. That was poverty mentality in expression, a very wretched & impoverished mindset blinding their minds from seeing their true/actual state beyond whatever material possessions they had👇🏽

"Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." Revelation 3:17-18.

Their estimation of themselves was so impoverished being limited to material possessions and that's very wretched for in the inspired words of the apostle...we brought no material thing into this world and it is certain we can carry no material thing out of it(1st Timothy 6:7).

Now compare what Jesus said to the materially rich church in Laodicea with what he said earlier to the church that was materially poor ie. the church in Smyrna 👇🏽

"I know thy tribulation and thy poverty; but thou art rich; and the railing of those who say that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but a synagogue of Satan."
Revelation 2:9.

Amazingly to the church professing to be rich(material riches) Jesus said you're poor, while to the poor church he said you're rich. Isn't that amazing?

Of those who blaspheme & slander the poor church/saints, Jesus said they are of the synagogue of Satan; they belong to Satan who is the accuser of the brethren.

What do you think Jesus would say today to these loud, braggadocios & blasphemous pastors professing to be rich & denigrating the poor?
He'll surely say to them you are poor, blind, miserable, wretched and naked. You say you're a Christian but you are of the synagogue of Satan.

Those who glory in material riches & denigrate the poor are surely plagued with the curse of poverty mentality because mental poverty is viewing material riches as true wealth.
When you think the life of a man consists in the abundance of material possessions, you're mentally poor, spiritually impoverished & wretched like the Laodicean church who only viewed riches as material acquisition - Luke 12:15.
