Dissecting & Discerning Prophecies.

We're in that time again when diverse prophecies are flying in from different religious circles for the new year.

It's very important for the people of God to be able to dissect & discern what is true & what is not, what is of God & what is not of God, being inspired by self, satan or the tendency to tell people what they will like to hear.

Under the light & scrutiny of the  scriptures of truth, we must be able to discern what the Spirit of truth is saying and what he is not saying to the church.

For instance if I come telling you that the Spirit is saying that this is the time for the manifestation of the sons of God, that cannot be true, the Spirit of truth cannot be saying that this is the time for the manifestation of the sons of God for that is not in anyway consistent with what the scripture of truth teaches.

In the light of Romans 8:18-23, to assert that this is the time for the manifestation of the sons of God implies that the adoption which is the redemption of our body has taken place, and the sufferings of this present time, which characterise the days of the church as strangers & pilgrims on earth, are over.

It also implies that the glory which shall be revealed in us has now come thus the sons will now be manifested in glory, and the travails in creation will now cease for creation itself will now be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God. It actually implies that the time for the millennial reign & regeneration of the earth has come.

Those who make such assertions seek to put the cart of the manifestation of sons before the horse of conformity to the image of the Son.

The apostles and early church walked in enough manifestation of the Spirit and power to make such a lofty claim in their day but they looked forward to it as something that will be at a later time.

The apostle who wrote this was one who so walked in manifestations of power that he and his co-labourers were once reckoned by people in a certain city as gods who had come in the likeness of men, and in another place as men who had turned the world upside down, yet he never got into the assumption that it was time for the manifestation of the sons of God. In Lystra he was dragged outside the city and so stoned that the people supposed that he was dead, yet soon as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up and went back into the same city. See Acts 17:6 & Acts 14:8-20.

In all these, he maintained that "the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."(Romans 8:18).

He never assumed that this present time is a time for the glory which shall be revealed in us, to manifest to the world.

The glorious liberty & manifestation of the sons of God cannot be whilst they're still in the vile body of sin, thus in Philippians 3:20-21 scripture says "for our citizenship is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

The redemption of our body which is our literal adoption as sons must first take place with sons fully conformed to the image of the Son & brought to glory shores in the Father's house, before they can then manifest/appear from glory with Christ when he appears to rule & reign over the earth. 

Then shall creation, which is now subject to the bondage of corruption, begin to witness the grace of the glorious liberty of the sons of God in the regeneration/millennial as the earth itself goes through it's regeneration.

In old testament prophecy, it is clearly projected as a time when "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den."  Isaiah 11:6-8.

This is clearly creation brought into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God when they manifest from glory with Christ to rule & reign over the earth in the millennial/regeneration.

May this year 2025 be a year when we will give the more earnest heed to the prophecy of scripture & not be carried about by every wind of vain, vague, lofty & unscriptural prophecies.

The Man Of God Or The Man Of Himself.  A very thin line exists between a man of God and a man of himself. Many today are called men of God but they are men of themselves or men of the people. They speak of themselves, represent their own interests and concerns, even in the things of God. It's high time we defined who a man of God is.
