The Absolute Supremacy & Primacy Of The Word.
In beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1
"En arche" ..."in beginning", no definite article as speaking of any particular beginning not even the beginning of creation as captured in Genesis 1 is being spoken of here.
"In Beginning...The Word"
The Spirit of truth in the inspired words takes us back of all beginnings including the beginning of creation, and there the first thing we see when nothing else was & when absolutely nothing was known, is the Word.
Nothing will/can be known outside of the Word & nothing will be brought into being(existence) as created, without the Word.
"In beginning, the Word".....nothing before the Word... the Word here set forth in beginning not even as what is said or spoken but as a being/person who is the "arche": the first, the one that commences. This is so absolute that God is not even seen or known until the Word is set forth in beginning as the beginning of every revelation or knowledge of God.
"And the Word was with God" is the next line in the inspired words that speak of the commencement of the revelation of the Godhead & the relationship in the Godhead before the beginning of creation.
The Word was "with" (Pros) - a preposition of direction; forward to, that is, toward or before. In other words, the Word was in the direction of God, toward God or before God as facing him, leading to him...the Word is thus the revealer of God.
God is revealed in association & relationship with the Word(his word), and there is absolutely no revelation of God outside the Word.

Just incase one might think or ask but are we exalting the Word above everything including God?
The next line in the inspired words answers that..."And the Word was God".
God cannot be exalted above God, the Word is God. In the exaltation of the Word, God is exalted & revealed
God cannot be exalted above God, the Word is God. In the exaltation of the Word, God is exalted & revealed
