The Subtle Idolization Of Religious Platforms, 'Altars' Of Prayer & Places Of Worship.

"For Christ has not entered into holy places made with hands, which are figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the face of God for us" - Hebrews 9:24.

The emphasis of scripture in the text above is very clear, for scripture clearly shows & points us to where Christ our Highpriest has entered for us. He has not entered into 'holy' places made with hands upon the earth,  thus he cannot be found in them. He has rather entered into heaven itself.

He is not in 'holy' places made with hands upon the earth; he is not in temples, altars or any religious platform set up by men upon the earth.

It is idolatrous when ministers are occupied with & seek to occupy the people with 'holy' places & religious platforms/altars made with hands where Christ is not, instead of pointing them to heaven itself where Christ has entered as our Highpriest and is in the face of God for us.

Where the emphasis of the minister is to draw men to either a physical or virtual platform, an 'altar' or a place of worship made with hands, idolatry has set in; a very subtle idolatry in which a religious platform is exalted by being projected as a place people must come to or connect to, in order to encounter God and have their prayers answered.

Often it's in the unbridled quest for visibility, to be seen & heard of men, that ministers project & emphasise their physical platforms. Such platforms when thus projected, people throng to them expecting to see the preacher come on to perform.

The emphasis of scripture however, is Christ who is hid in glory, where He is at the righthand of God, and for us to come by faith to the throne of Grace, having a great Highpriest who has passed through the heavens into the sanctuary not made with hands; not a visible sanctuary which the eyes of men can see & adore/idolize, nor a sanctuary built with hands which man can glory in as it's builder, but that which only faith in God comes into, wholly casting itself upon Him who is the rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.

Where a physical location or virtual platform is the emphasis & what is presented to men as the solution ground where God is, and where they will encounter God and have their prayers answered, a very subtle idolatry is going on & can go on undetected for many years regardless of the miracles, results and testimonies the people may be getting.

This is the very principle of the emphasis of the false Christs & false prophets Jesus warned that will arise in the last days to deceive many by the  manifestation of great signs & wonders; their emphasis will be a physical place, location or platform on the earth, compelling men to come & see/encounter Christ, asserting that Christ is here or there when scripture clearly tells us that Christ is not in any holy places made with hands upon the earth but has gone into heaven where he is before the face of God for us 👇🏽

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. Matthew 24:23-26

If Christ is the obsession of the minister, he would most spontaneously draw men not to a physical/virtual altar or place of worship/prayer made with hands, but to the cross of Christ and throne of Grace where our Highpriest is at the righthand of God.

To get to a physical place of worship, you just need to transport or drive down to the location. To connect to a virtual or online 'altar' of prayer, you just need data/internet connection, but to come to the cross of Christ and the throne of Grace you need absolutely nothing but faith in God and in his Son Jesus Christ.

There are no mediums that connect you; no seed you have to sow to connect, no sacrifice you have to make to connect. The one & only sacrifice of Christ himself has been made once & for all, to give all who believe, unrestricted access into the holiest of all.
