Is It God's Will That All Be Saved?

Scripture says God desires that all men should be saved & come to the knowledge of the truth, and to that effect he sent his Son who came and gave himself a ransom for all.

It is in view of this truth that the apostle in his epistle to Timothy, exhorts that prayers & intercessions should be made for all men with no exception 👇🏼

"I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men; for kings and all that are in dignity, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity; For this is good and acceptable before our Saviour God, who desires that all men should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For God is one, and the mediator of God and men one, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony to be rendered in its own times."
1st Timothy 2:1-6

Having spoken of God our saviour in the 3rd verse of chapter 2 stated above, the apostle went on in the 10th verse of the 4th chapter, to present God as the saviour of all men, specially of those that believe(ie. those who have come to the faith of his Son Jesus). 1st Timothy 4:10.

The apostle John in his own epistle wrote something similar, presenting Christ the Son of God as the propitiation(sacrifice for atonement) not only for the sins of those that believe but also for the whole world. See 1st John 2:1-2.

Sadly today there are people presenting God as a partial God who has decided and chosen whom to save or not.
They are perverts who twist scriptures even to the point of asserting that Christ did not die for all men. In other words, he didn't give himself a ransom for all but for a selected few.
Such a claim is heretic for scripture in another place testifies that Christ in his death tasted death for every man(Hebrews 2:9); Also in 2nd Corinthians 5:14-15 scripture says "For the love of Christ constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, then all have died; and he died for all, that they who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who died for them and has been raised".

The teaching that Christ didn't die for all men but for a selected few is a doctrine of devils to diminish the universal & cosmic nature & power of the cross of Christ. 2nd Corinthians 5:19 says that God was in Christ Christ reconciling the world to himself; Colossians 1:20 shows that what was wrought in the death of Christ(the blood of his cross) is to the end to reconcile all things

It is not the will of God that any should perish.
2nd Peter 3:9 says God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God cannot will or destine anyone to perish for scripture clearly says it's not his will that any should perish and he's a God who works all things after the counsel of his own will, in other words, he does absolutely nothing outside his will.

Those who perish, perish because they rejected the love of God by refusing to receive the truth of God's word that they might be saved. See 2nd Thessalonians 2:10.

In conclusion, Jesus said "God has not sent his Son into the world that he may condemn the world, but that the world may be saved through him. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not has been already condemned, because he has not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light; for their works were evil" - John 3:17-19.

The condemnation is thus not that God has destined, sentenced or condemned any man to perish but the rejection of the light of life on the part of men who love darkness.
