New Creation Realities Or lies? Where Mysticism And New Age Teaching Is Mistaken For Christian Doctrine Part 1.
The new creation is simply the man brought into newness of life in Christ, the history of his past life in the flesh and in the old man(oldness of life) remains though it has passed away.
The false testimony is to deny that such a past ever existed by presenting the new creation as a man who was never sold under sin, the true testimony however acknowledges such an awful past and the triumph of grace over it in bringing forth newness of life out of that which was old and condemned, causing light to shine out of darkness.
"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." - 2 Corinthians 4:6
" For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light" - Ephesians 5:8
In the epistles of the apostles we hear men like Peter and Paul speak of their past life in the flesh as sinners.
1 Peter 4
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1 Timothy 1
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Those who affirm and persistently teach that the new man was never under sin are ignorant of the principle of resurrection which scripture presents to us in speaking of a new order of men in Christ.
In 1 Corinthians 15 we see scriptures present this principle to us using agricultural terms to explain it.
1 Corinthians 15
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
*It is the same seed sown in death that rises/springs into newness of life. When you get born again it is the same you who lived in the oldness of life, that is transformed to walk in newness of life, let no man deceive you with vain words & erroneous teaching. He that ascended up far above all things is the same also that first descended into the lower parts of the earth.
Ephesians 4
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
